This Melaka Gin is a unique alchemy of eight botanicals curated with a feminine touch and crafted with pride. An unusual & versatile gin with subtle notes of spice combined with a well-balanced citrusy character. Best enjoyed on the rocks or mixed in a long drink.

Juniper – Pomelo – Candlenut – Sweet Orange – Torch Ginger – Cinnamon – Clove – Nutmeg

8 natural botanicals are sourced in South and East Asia. Together with “Angel” the magnificent 500 litre pot still at the City of Manchester Distillery, natural ingredients and a masterful distiller, this gin is created using a one-shot method – a particularly long distillation with reduced heat, to slowly extract the essential oils and essences required.

Character
This gin pays homage to the spirit of Melaka. Torch ginger and candlenut, both traditional ingredients in Melakan cuisine enhance the citrus and spice ingredients to produce a smooth yet complex gin.

Nose
Notes of sweet pomelo on the nose.

Palate
Pleasant balance of pomelo and sweet orange.

Finish
Warm yet soft spices come to the fore to create a long and satisfying finish.
