The Founder of Quinta do Zambujeiro
Emil Strickler, an enthusiastic Swiss wine lover bought the vineyard in 1998. Quinta do Zambujeiro is located approximately 170km east of Lisbonn in the south eastern Portuguese region of Alentejo.

100% new French oak barrels for Zambujeiro
12-24 months barrel maturation
100% used French oak barrels for Monte do Zambujeiro

Blend:
39% Aragonez, 35% Alicante Bouschet, 8% Tinta Caiada, 6% Touriga Nacional, 5% Syrah, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 15.0% vol. Alc.
Tasting Notes:
An opulent and luscious wine with a very dark violet – red. Intense flowery bouquet with an exotic touch, red berries fruit and some pepper. Mouth filling, lovely sweet fruit on the tongue, solid structure with fine grained tannins, long lasting aromatics, ending with again some exotic flowers and red fruit.
20 Years of Special & Unique Wines:
The Swiss newspaper Blick chose 20 brands of wine to be tasted by various experts in the field. Among the various wines, there is Quinta do Zambujeiro 2016, which obtained the highest score (19/20), together with Clos Matinet Vinyes del Mas d'en Martinet 2017.
Serving and Pairing:
Goes well with appetizers like cheese and sausages, grilled meat or Asian food.
