Château Puybarbe 2017

Château Puybarbe is located in the heart of the appellation of “Côtes de Bourg”. Three parallel lines of hills, along the Gironde estuary (just opposite the Margaux appellation in Médoc) gave this wine region its nick name of “Small Switzerland of Bordeaux”. The estate Chateau Puybarbe is located on the highest point of the third ridge line and offers a unique panorama that extends to Bordeaux embracing the whole Bourg area.

Tasting Notes
Dry, medium-plus-bodied with ripe dark berry, plum, cherry, cinnamon, clove, smoky vanilla and toasty oak flavours on the palate.

Eyes: Deep, dark ruby red
Nose: Cherry, plus and blackberry supported with hints of oaky and earthy tones of cedar and vanilla
Palate: Full bodied with smooth, balanced tannins and acidity
Finish: Long, elegant mouthfeel with an enjoyable aftertaste
