Gaia de Château Puybarbe 2019

Château Puybarbe is located in the heart of the appellation of “Côtes de Bourg”. Three parallel lines of hills, along the Gironde estuary (just opposite the Margaux appellation in Médoc) gave this wine region its nick name of “Small Switzerland of Bordeaux”. The estate Chateau Puybarbe is located on the highest point of the third ridge line and offers a unique panorama that extends to Bordeaux embracing the whole Bourg area.

Luscious and jammy reds are medium-bodied, full-bodied or very full-bodied wines that combine ripe berry notes and pronounced jammy flavours. You can discern notes of cherry jam, wild berry jam or dark plum in these wines. Ripe tannins add the necessary structure for pairing the wines with food.

Eyes: Intense ruby red
Nose: Aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry and plum
Palate: Gently spiced cherry with a fruity bouquet
Finish: High tannins and finishes with rose pepper and warm oak
