I Saltari - Valpolicella Superiore DOC 2014

In 2006, Sartori introduced a new premium collection of Veneto wines crafted by the re-nowned consulting winemaker Franco Bernabei, at the new I Saltari winery in the Mezanne Valley, east of Verona. Bernabei's work with the winery marks a return to his roots; although Bernabei has made his home in Tuscany for over 25 years, he was born in Veneto.

TASTING NOTES

Color: Ruby red in color with hints of violet. 

Aroma: Small berries, ranging from currants to blackberry jam, hints of tobacco and leather.

Palate: excellent structure with supple tannins and fruit flavors consistent with the nose, long finish of vanilla and cherry.
