| Mamete Prevostini wine production started more than 70 years ago when Mamete started producing wines from Valtellina grapes for his own restaurant Crotasc. Valtellina produces almost exclusively red wines, made of Chiavennasca, the local name for Nebbiolo grape. Local wines made with Chiavennasca have developed different characteristics from their cousins in Barolo or Barbaresco. Less tannic and powerful, the Nebbiolos of Valtellina are more delicate, with a lot of elegance. |
Color: Dark pomegranate red colour. Aroma: Striking varied aroma with spicy and fruity smells and dried flowers scent. Palate: Soft, warm, full bodied taste, with strong raisin and preserve feelings. |
