The Founder of Quinta do Zambujeiro
Emil Strickler, an enthusiastic Swiss wine lover bought the vineyard in 1998. Quinta do Zambujeiro is located approximately 170km east of Lisbonn in the south eastern Portuguese region of Alentejo.

Selection of all grapes by hand
Total maceration up to 7 weeks
Malo-lactic fermentation in barrels
100% new French oak barrels for Zambujeiro
12-24 months barrel maturation
100% used French oak barrels for Monte do Zambujeiro

Blend:
54% Aragonez, 22% Touriga Franca, 11% Trincadeira, 5% Tinta Caiada, 3% Alicante Bouschet, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, 14.5.0% vol. Alc.
Tasting Notes:
Dark violet red. Intense and deep in bouquet, a mix of fruit and ethereal flower scents, hints of toast and smoke. Solidly built with soft tannins and quite some extract, lots of juicy fruit and spicy taste, a fine and pleasant food wine.
20 Years of Special & Unique Wines:
The Swiss newspaper Blick chose 20 brands of wine to be tasted by various experts in the field. Among the various wines, there is Quinta do Zambujeiro 2016, which obtained the highest score (19/20), together with Clos Matinet Vinyes del Mas d'en Martinet 2017.
Serving and Pairing:
Goes well with appetizers like cheese and sausages, grilled meat or Asian food.
Store between:13 -15ºC .
