Tenuta San Giorgio - Brunello di Montalcino "Ugolforte" DOCG 2015

Tenuta San Giorgio in Montalcino (Siena) close by Castelnuovo dell'Abate and the Cistercian abbey of Sant' Antimo. The grapes grow at an average altitude of 350-450m above sea level on south west facing terrains. The soil is composed of clay loam sediments originating from a prehistoric salt lake-basin and is rich in calcium.

TASTING NOTES

Color: Ruby red with garnet reflections.

Aroma: Enticing fragrance of rose, violet, dark berry and underbrush.

Palate: The firm palate delivers juicy wild cherry, cinnamon and star anise alongside firm but fine-grained tannins and bright acidity.
