| Pale lemon yellow color. Ripe and somewhat sweet-toned nose with a somewhat Italian overall character; aromas of sweet apple, chopped almonds, some cantaloupe, light notes of mirabelle and a hint of herbal spice. With air, more subtle nuances of wool and sweeter, wizened yellow fruit tones emerge. The wine is ripe, quite acid-driven and slightly dull on the palate with a medium body and flavors of woolly lanolin, tart lemony citrus fruits, some green apple, a little bit of marzipan, light cantaloupe tones, a tangy hint of saline minerality that grows towards the aftertaste and a touch of dried herbs. The high acidity keeps the wine fresh, precise and structured. The lively aftertaste shows quite pronounced salinity with a hint of warmth and sharp yet still subtly dull flavors of lemony citrus fruits, some wool sock or raw potato tones, a little bit of almond paste and a hint of stony minerality. |
